The course is for students who want to expand their knowledge and understanding of crime and criminal justice at national and international levels; it promotes a critical and comparative approach to these issues and enables and equips students to apply traditional and contemporary criminological perspectives and methods to rapidly changing problems and concerns; students on the Master's have the opportunity to attend common study sessions with post-graduate criminologists studying in universities across Europe (including Athens, Barcelona, Ghent, Hamburg and Rotterdam) and also at John Jay College in New York; it equips students with the knowledge and skills required to investigate and analyse problems of crime, conflict and control.
