Manchester Metropolitan University, BA (Hons), Business Management (Exchange)
In Year 1 students focus on developing your intellectual skills through studying basic principles of understanding people, business environments and finance; students choose 1 option from languages, ICE (ideas, creativity and entrepreneurship), work-based learning and business sustainability. In Year 2 students look at how organisations function and survive in the tough world of global business, including marketing, people management, and finance and operations management; students choose one option from languages, ICE (ideas, creativity and entrepreneurship), work-based learning and business sustainability. Year 3 is spent studying abroad with a partner institution; students have partners in the USA, Australia, Canada, China (Hong Kong), France, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy and Spain. The final year students engage in a live commissioned consultancy project working for a real business and helping it solve a real business problem; students study corporate and global strategy, cross-cultural management and two options from a wide range across the business school, including finance, marketing, human resource management and international business.
