Honours degree or equivalent in: marine/offshore/mechanical engineering or any other engineering discipline; a continuing professional development qualification in marine/offshore/mechanical engineering or any other engineering discipline; an unclassified degree and significant marine/offshore industrial experience may be considered; a Maritime Coastguard Agency Class 1 (Marine Engineer) certificate of competency or equivalent and with significant industrial experience will also be considered subject to an interview; non-UK applicants must provide evidence of competence in English: 6.0 for IELTS within the previous 24 months; applicants who have studied and successfully achieved a UK degree within the previous 24 months are exempt from the requirements to produce evidence of competence in English.
