The course enables students to: Assess, diagnose and manage the wide variety of conditions that present in ambulatory settings; provides direct services related to health protection/promotion and disease prevention (e.g. child health surveillance; 6-8 week checks; newborn discharge examinations; parenting support; developmental advice and screening; anticipatory guidance etc.); options within the programme include qualifying as an extended independent and supplementary prescriber (NMC V300 award).
