Entry requirements
The requirements for the Security Studies programme are an equivalent of a Dutch pre-university education (VWO) diploma, and proficiency in English.
A first-year or final diploma from a university programme.
A diploma obtained outside the Netherlands, an International Baccalaureate (IB), or a European Baccalaureate (EB). Russian Federation:
- Attectat o Srednem (polnom) Obshchem Obrazovanii with a score of 5 in all subjects.
If you obtained your diploma in previous years you are requested to submit your Certificate of Unified State Examination results too. Leiden University accepts three kinds of official tests:
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic modules only. Minimum score of 6.5.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Minimum scores are 570 (paper-based) / 230 (computer-based) / 90 (internet based). Original test results should be sent directly by the Educational Testing Service. Institutional TOEFL tests are not accepted;
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English/ Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (grade A-C)
