Entry requirements
The requirements for the International Relations and Organisations bachelor’s specialisation are an equivalent of a Dutch pre-university education (VWO) diploma, and proficiency in English.
-A first-year or final diploma from a university programme.
-A secondary school diploma obtained outside the Netherlands, or an International Baccalaureate (IB), or a European Baccalaureate (EB). Russian Federation:
- Attectat o Srednem (polnom) Obshchem Obrazovanii with a score of 5 in all subjects.
If you obtained your diploma in previous years you are requested to submit your Certificate of Unified State Examination results too.
-If your diploma is not at pre-university level, but at Senior General Secondary Education (Dutch HAVO) level, you are admissible, provided that you have the following:
some years of relevant work experience;
a pre-university level certificate in mathematics (A1);
a pre-university level certificate in history;
sufficient proficiency in English. Leiden University accepts three kinds of official tests:
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic modules only. Minimum score of 6.5.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Minimum score is 90 (internet based). Original test results should be sent directly by the Educational Testing Service. Institutional TOEFL tests are not accepted;
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English/ Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (grade A-C).
