Taught by the Department of Accounting and Finance and the School of Computing and Communications, both internationally recognised for the quality of their research, Lancaster’s degree in Accounting, Finance and Computer Science will allow you to explore the connections and applications between these key fields.
You’ll study the core elements of Accounting and Finance, including investment management, financial strategy and the preparation of information for internal and external reporting. Our degree is accredited by CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and allows exemption from certain professional examinations. You will also develop key skills from Computer Science, including programming, web technology and systems architecture.
The key modules in your first year are the Introduction to Accounting and Finance; Principles of Economics, and Introduction to Computer Science. In your second and third years, you’ll move on to subjects such as the Principles of Financial Accounting; Statistical Methods for Business; Software Design, and Management Accounting.
