Entry requirements

  • A good bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in any discipline.
  • All non-UK applicants must meet our English language requirements. For this course it is Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall, with not less than 6.0 in all elements.
  • Applicants who do not meet the English language requirements may be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course.
  • Applicants from one of the recognized majority English speaking countries (MESCs) do not need to meet these requirements.

When to apply?

International students: application and supporting documentation should be submitted by the first week of August 2016, although the university may still accept applications after this date.

Home/EU students: application and supporting documentation should be submitted by the first week of September 2016, although the university may still accept applications after this date.

Before you submit your application, please read through our entry criteria carefully to ensure you meet the requirements. If you haven't begun an online application already, you will need to select 'new user' once the form is opened and set up a username and password. This allows you to save and return to your application if you can't complete the application in one go.

Information required to support your application

  • Copies of transcripts and certificates which confirm qualifications obtained and pending. These should clearly show the qualification awarded and the final overall grade/mark. If they are not in English, we will also require copies translated into English by an authorized translator.
  • A personal statement which should outline your reasons for applying for the course.
  • A copy of your curriculum vitae (CV)/resumé.
  • If English is not your first language we will require proof of your proficiency, which will generally be an IELTS test certificate. If you do not hold a formal English language qualification, please indicate how you have acquired your proficiency in written and spoken English.

Location

Kingston upon Thames is only 25 minutes from central London and has been consistently reported as the safest borough in London (Metropolitan Police, 2013) and the happiest place to live in Greater London (Rightmove, 2013)! Located on the River Thames in an affluent part of south-west London, it's no surprise Kingston is the ideal student location.
