Control systems are part of everyday life and used in the fields of mechatronics and process manufacturing. Steering and controlling of control systems include robotic applications in automation, steering and tracking devices, and high-tech temperature, pressure and volume controllers necessary for chemical processes in industry. Advanced control systems are also applied to sustainable energy-producing installations and sustainable automotive applications.
This course consists of lectures, labs, minor projects and a graduation assignment. You will learn to model and validate complex non-linear systems with multiple inputs and outputs using both white box modeling and system identification. You focus on advanced control applications used in industry, such as robust control, optimal control and adaptive control systems. But you will also learn to apply practical control solutions such as integrator wind-up solutions and a smith predictor.
