Course critically explores the interface between theatre and education; working with established theatre companies, the programme considers a range of educational work from theatre in education to young people's theatre; children's theatre to workshops in schools; study the role and function of the Education Officer in theatre companies, through a placement in a professional context and seminar contact; variety of other theatre education work is considered, where appropriate, which may include theatre in prisons, theatre and disability, museum education.
