Entry requirements
The main requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from a German higher education institution, or an academic degree recognised to be equivalent.
The final grade of the degree must be “good” or better. In case the candidate acquired his/her first degree at a German university the grade must be 2.5 at least or better.
As some of the lectures may be held in English, the programme requires solid English language skills.
International applicants must submit a language certificate to prove that they have enough German Language Skills. This is in accordance with the university’s regulations on the German language exam for university entry, the Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH), for applicants with foreign university entrance qualifications in their respectively valid version, unless they are exempted from the German language examination under the DSH regulations. In order to submit an application for Master’s programmes with German as language of instruction, you have to present German language certificates proving at least completed level C1.
