Focusing on rural and industrial North East Wales and the Northern Marches during the 18th and 19th centuries, the course is intended to familiarise students with the range of available archival material; establishes the skills necessary to exploit those resources and builds up knowledge through the process of research.
The main Wrexham campus is a short walk from Wrexham town centre.
The Flintshire campus is set in 91 hectares of landscaped gardens at the Welsh College of Horticulture, accessible by car and bus.
Excellent road and rail links connect Wrexham with Manchester and Liverpool in under an hour, and there are direct train services to Cardiff and London.
