Content of the Master's degree program The Master's program in Industrial and Applied Mathematics covers 4 specializations: Computational Science and Engineering (focusing on the simulation and analysis of complex physical and technical processes). Discrete Mathematics and Applications (relating to the mathematics that lies behind our digital world and the optimization of discrete processes). Statistics, Probability, and Operations Research (managerial scheduling and organizational problems, industrial statistics and the analysis of phenomena in which randomness plays a role). Data Science in Engineering (the core courses span a wide range of computer science and statistics courses and include base competences such as: Process Mining, Data Mining, Algorithms, Visualization, Real-life data challenges, Statistics for Big Data, Statistical Learning Theory, and Probability and Stochastic Processes)

Location

The Eindhoven University of Technology is situated in Netherlands. TU/e main campus is at some eight minutes walking distance from Eindhoven railway station. This makes it easy to come by public transport. Eindhoven airport is five kilometres outside the city and there is a shuttle bus between the airport and railway station. Most university buildings are connected by walkways.
