Year 1: Emphasis is placed on ensuring that both theory and practice learning are relevant to the area; practice placements begin in the 1st trimester; it is possible to leave at the end of this year with a Certificate in Healthcare. Years 2 and 3: Students focus on their chosen branch and become prepared to practice safely at the point of registration, within a variety of settings; there are extended periods of supervised practise and students can undertake an elective.
