Year 1: Foundations in nursing; caring skills; health and social care; anatomy and physiology; the individual, family and society; mental health; learning disability and maternity care for adult nursing. Year 2: Health needs across the lifespan; caring for patients and families; aspects of holistic care; ethics in healthcare; nursing acutely ill patients. Year 3: Research and evidence-based practice; infection control or assessment and decision making or health promotion or innovation and change; students who select to follow the degree pathway will study 2 additional modules from a menu of optional modules and undertake a practice-based theory project in the final year.
