Education studies Year 1: Modules include: Perspectives in education; issues in European education. Year 2: Historical and contemporary perspectives on children, teachers and education; development of the individual; contemporary issues in research in education; education, culture, economy and society. Year 3: Adult learners and learning; education dissertation; education and equality: class, race and ethnicity; gender in education; placement. English Year 1: Modules include: poetry and society; introduction to the novel; introduction to drama; writing and screening. Year 2: modules include: Medieval and renaissance literature; 18th- and 19th-century literature; 20th- and 21st-century literature; ways of reading.
