The University of York was established in 1963, on principles of excellence, equality and opportunity for all. In only 50 years, the university has become one of the top 10 universities in the UK for research excellence and a member of the prestigious Russell Group. Eight top 100 departments of the University of York are in the QS World University Rankings by subject 2020.

The University guarantees accommodation to all international students on our beautiful parkland campus and is one of the very few UK universities to have a collegiate system, which offers students the opportunity to take part in social and sport activities at college level, making the integration process a lot easier.
