This course seeks to explore the fundamentals of animation applied in a digital and traditional context, including study of movement; action; character design and scriptwriting; at the end of the 3rd semester students choose 1 of 2 pathways, either; animation or animation for games design; the course has a distinct emphasis at each level and when combined these provide a comprehensive range of skills knowledge and understanding; professional studio practice forms the basis of the course and drawing is an integral component; providing a hands on approach to learning animation; this is supported by creative thinking strategies and methodologies; and a spirit of innovation is encouraged throughout; this course is offered at the main campus.
