Our bachelor’s and master’s degree courses are accredited by prominent European and American accrediting bodies. Accreditation of your degree is extremely important because it affects the value and acceptance of your diploma in the academic world and your future career. Accreditation is the quality assurance for the education you will receive.
UNYP students who study the American bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication & Media, International Relations, or Psychology have the dual degree option. Students meeting the requirements are awarded a two seperate degrees, an American degree from the State University of New York, Empire State College and a European bachelor's degree (bakalář, Bc.) awarded by UNYP.
Our faculty members not only know all of their students’ names, but make sure that every student gets an appropriate level of attention in the classroom.
Our campus and student residence buildings are located in the lovely central district of Vinohrady, and combine historical charm with cutting-edge technology. But don’t just take our word for it – come and see for yourself!
All of our buildings have Wi-Fi throughout, so that you can use your own laptops, tablets and smartphones. We also use Moodle, an online intranet database where students can access course material and student-relevant information like final grades, or chat with other UNYP students and faculty. We have multiple computer labs and on site printing center.
Our students come from around the globe! We have students with more than 60 nationalities from the EU, North and South America, Russia, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. We have have an Alumni network that spans more than half the countries in the world!
UNYP has 125 professors coming from more than 30 countries (of whom a majority are native English speakers). This multicultural background makes UNYP the most diverse university in the Czech Republic, and offers our students an amazing advantage in preparing for the globalized world where they will be working.

Student run activities are a big party of the UNYP expereince with clubs focused on running, Model United Nations, UNYP TV, Film Club, Humans of UNYP, there is something for everone.
Each year UNYP is giving need and merit based scholarships to students worth nearly $200,000 USD. Detailed scholarship information can be found on our Scholarships & Financial Aid page and should be discussed directly with your admissions advisor during the application and acceptance process. There are scholarships for athletes as well as academic excellence given out to new, incoming students and also academic merit based awards granted to top students with GPA above 3.81.
Prague is well-known for being a beautiful and historical city, but it is also a safe and clean city. Highly walkable and with excellent public transport, you’ll never have any problems getting where you need to go. Cultural sites, sporting events, clubs, and cafes are all within easy reach.

UNYP cooperates with the State University of New York, Empire State College to offer accredited 4-year Bachelor´s degree programs taught entirely in English.
Students can earn an American-accredited Bachelor´s degree from State University of New York, Empire State College while studying at a private university in Prague. Some programs may be taken as double-degree programs, leading to the award of a Bachelor´s degree from State University of New York, Empire State College, and a Czech-accredited Bachelor´s degree from UNYP.
Study abroad and transfer students are welcome. Transfer students may transfer approved coursework towards their degree.

UNYP offers accredited Bachelor´s programs taught entirely in English, leading to the award of a Czech Bachelor's degree (bakalář) from UNYP. These programs last 3 years of studies.
UNYP also partners with prestigious international universities in Europe to offer accredited degree programs from those universities.

When students decide for one of these concentrations, they can´t get a dual degree, they can gain dual degree only if they decide to study Business Administration without a concentration – 4 years of studies.
UNYP offers accredited Master's programs in cooperation with noteworthy American and British universities.
Taught entirely in English and either in an intensive weekend studies format, to accomodate the needs of working professionals, or on a daily basis. These Master's programs are ideal for ambitious and aspiring professionals or for bachelor graduates who want a high quality international education in Prague that leads to an accredited American or European Master's degree.
Students who successfully graduate from our Master's courses receive their degrees directly from our partner Universities. The M.A. program in Psychology leads to a degree awarded by the University of New York in Prague.
Our campus is located in the beautiful and quiet district of Vinohrady, home to stunning architecture and beautiful parks just steps from the center of Prague. The University campus is excellently situated between two public transport hubs, I. P. Pavlova and Náměstí Míru, for easy access to downtown or around Prague.
