The University of Buckingham admitted its first students in 1976 and now has 1010 students from over 80 different countries.
It is unique amongst British universities, receiving no state funding and using its independence to pioneer a distinctive approach to higher education.
It offers traditional three year degrees in two years providing small-group Oxbridge-style teaching.
