Pre-Masters Graduate Diploma in Humanities and Social Sciences
The Pre-Masters Graduate Diploma in Humanities and Social Sciences offers a route to masters degrees for international and EU students who are changing disciplines, need to ‘top up’ their academic qualifications or who need to improve their level of English. It is fully integrated with the University and academic modules are taught by Queen Mary lecturers. This Diploma is especially useful for students going on to study with the School of Business and Management, School of Politics and International Relations, and School of Languages, Linguistics and film.
Pre-Masters Graduate Diploma in Economics and Finance
Our one year Pre-Masters Graduate Diploma in Economics & Finance offers a route to Masters degrees for international and EU students who are changing disciplines, need to ‘top up’ their academic qualifications or who need to improve their level of English. The programme includes English, academic and study skills modules, which are taught by Queen Mary academic staff. The programme helps students adapt to academic life in the UK and is especially useful for students going on to study with the School of Economics and Finance.

Entry requirements
- A full first degree at the equivalent of at least a pass in a UK undergraduate degree with at least a pass in all final year modules, or (for students from PR China) a three year diploma from a recognised institution, with grades of at least 75% in relevant subjects;
- IELTS 5.5 (min. 5.5 in all elements) or 5.0 (min. 4.5 in all elements) with pre-sessional course.
