This one-year (3 term) programme offers progression to the University of Amsterdam for Bachelor's PPLE Programme. You will study your Foundation programme at our state-of-the-art Centre located at the heart of the University of Amsterdam campus.
This programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the University of Amsterdam. All students who successfully complete the UFP are guaranteed placement on a PPLE programme. Students are prepared with regards to future specialization in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics.
This programme lasts nine months. The year is divided into three terms of seven to nine teaching weeks and one reading week. You will undertake up to 26 hours of classroom-based study per week.
This programme includes English and three academic subject modules. English will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects, as well as being taught separately for those who need additional support to develop their English language ability.
This programme offers progression to Year 1 of the following degree:
- BSc PPLE
PPLE degree offers a unique combination of Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics during the first year of the programme with further selection of a major course for year 2 and 3.

Entry requirements
Students wishing to progress to BSc PPLE
- September start: 5.5 IELTS or equivalent, with no single element below 5.5
- January start: 6.0 IELTS or equivalent, with no single element below 5.5
- Excellent Maths grades at High School and 60% in the ONCAMPUS Amsterdam Mathematics Entry Test
- Interview, Motivational letter and CV
Location
