Now that European borders are fading, there is a growing demand on the international labour market for graduates who know from personal experience what it means to study and work in an international environment. People for whom the political and economic structures in Europe have no secrets; professionals who can manage cultural differences and who can be widely employed because of their extensive knowledge in the fields of strategic communication in a public and/or private environment. Professionals who can also communicate fluently in various European languages.
European Studies is a four-year Bachelor degree study programme, which focuses on a wide range of subjects that are linked to Europe such as communication, culture, law, politics, marketing and foreign languages. Project-based work is considered very important in the European Studies. Regularly, students work in groups on realistic projects. Team-working skills and theoretical knowledge are developed via these projects, which have an international character.
With regard to exchange opportunities - in 3rd year, half year exchange programme at one of 75 partner universities abroad (in EU, USA, Asia, or Latin America) is a great chance for students to improve their knowledge. 5 months in 4th year in international company or institute is included in this programme as an internship.
The possible career paths for the graduates include International Networker, Lobbyist, Communication advisor, International Project Manager, Staff member at the European Parliament/House of Representatives / Ministry / Embassy, Communication Officer, Spokesperson, etc.
In a
European context you will be working in a group on tasks that are derived from
the professional field. These tasks entail providing strategic communication
and policy advice, developing the associated plans, organising events and
representing an organisation.
