The programme equips students: for a management career in organisations (where the application of project management, whether directly, or through professional advisers, offers an enhanced approach to the management of major construction projects from inception to completion); with a deep awareness of the strategic importance of high value projects to organisations; with an awareness of the potential positive contribution that project management can provide to organisations; with a detailed insight into the progression from strategy formulation to project execution; to develop a systematic understanding of the range of processes and techniques that may be applied to the management of major construction projects; with the flexibility to manage projects in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world; with advanced communication skills which may be readily adapted to suit varied organisation patterns and cultures.
