This course develops analytical skills which encourage an interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving and knowledge of accounting theory and financial management; it has been designed in consultation with the accounting profession and is of particular relevance to middle managers who have had no formal training in accounting but who require financial or accounting expertise to improve their performance and further their promotion prospects;the course has been designed on a modular basis and students are required to complete the equivalent of 6 20-point modules in each of 3 groups; although a high proportion of modules in the course are compulsory, the course structure includes a range of options particularly in the later stages.
