This course ensures that students gain a sound understanding of the concepts underpinning hotel management disciplines and an understanding of the hospitality sector as a major component of the tourism industry; the course is for applicants, mainly new graduates from the UK and overseas, and people with experience of working in the hospitality industry, who wish to improve their career prospects; it provides general and specialist classes designed to place graduates on a fast track towards a managerial career in hospitality; diploma and Master of Science students follow the same instructional course for 2 semesters; Master's students prepare a dissertation of up to 20,000 words on an approved topic; the curriculum comprises 10 classes.
