The Foundation Programme is designed for both United Kingdom and international students whose school leaving qualifications do not immediately allow them admission to undergraduate engineering and computer science degree programmes.


Students who successfully complete the Foundation Programme will be guaranteed progression onto one of a number of BEng/MEng/BSc degrees in the following departments:

  • Built Environment
  • Chemical and Environmental Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering


The route students take depends on the modules selected during the Foundation Programme.
