This course has been designed mainly for those who are seeking a possible route through to a career in education and the part time nature of the degree provides access to higher education for those students who are currently employed and would be unable to commit to full time academic study; this route involves all the demands of a full degree course, but offers the flexibility of evening lectures, strong academic support for all students and a longer period of study; there is a compulsory component for each of the 3 levels of the degree course in the form of general education and other core units; when the compulsory and core elements have been selected students may chose 1 of 2 pathways: Humanities or mathematics and science; there is a choice of course units at all 3 levels of the degree course for both pathways.
