The programme delivered by Centre for Security Studies, aims to provide a basis for high quality interdisciplinary research in the fields of international law and international politics; the 2 compulsory units ensure that students develop not only a thorough understanding of subjects, but also an awareness of the way in which they impact upon one another; through its optional units, the programme offers an understanding of particular sub disciplines of international law and international politics; the optional units examine the different yet often complementary types of legal and political analysis of a single problem, for example, international environmental protection or international political and legal integration.
