This programme covers the essential elements of business management, including business organisation, management and strategy, accounting and IT management, and key aspects of corporate law, such as contract, employment and international law.

This combination of knowledge will help give you an edge in the modern international business environment and the specific analytical skills to understand complex legal issues such as intellectual property, company formation and structure, employment rights and international trade.

You will study current examples of the everyday legal issues facing organisations in order to gain an understanding of how these are shaped by the changing demands of modern businesses.

You will learn about the role of the courts, governments and international agents in the development of the law regulating the global business environment and multinational enterprises. You will have the option to undertake a work placement in your third year.

Career opportunities

Career opportunities are available in middle management, as company secretaries or in areas such as legal publishing. Other areas of employment may include Law Commission or police work.
