Why study an undergraduate Accounting and Finance degree at Exeter University?

  • 6th for Accounting and Finance in The Sunday Times University Guide 2013;
  • 10th for Accounting and Finance in The Times Good University Guide 2013;
  • 8th for Accounting and Finance in The Complete University Guide 2014;
  • Exemptions from professional examinations.

The BA Accounting and Finance degree offers considerable exemptions from the exams of the professional bodies and is specifically targeted at students who wish to pursue a career in accountancy. The programme gives you an understanding of the legal, business and social environments in which accountancy operates and enables you to be conversant in the technical languages and practices of the accounting sector in a market economy.

In your third year you will study, or combine study with a work placement, in the EU or in countries including Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Canada. You then return to Exeter for the final year of your degree. You may apply for direct entry to the four-year programmes or apply to transfer at the end of the first year of a three-year programme.
