BSc Biological Sciences (with Education) course allows you to study a wide range of science subjects in the first three years, qualifying you to graduate with a full honours degree, plus the additional teaching experience you will receive on this integrated syllabus will put you in a great position to progress onto the UEA PGCE (Initial Teacher Training) course when you graduate, without any obligation to continue your studies.
The flexibility of this programme encourages you to explore and pursue your own specialist interests within Biological Sciences as the course progresses. You will have the opportunity to select from a wide range of advanced optional modules that cover a diverse range of scientific subjects, ranging from Behavioural Ecology to Evolutionary Biology. You will also have the chance to apply your developing scientific interests through independent research, as you complete a substantial research project in your third year.
The majority of learning will take place in lectures, seminars, practical laboratory classes and fieldwork. This blended approach to education will provide you with invaluable contact time with lecturers, while learning through first-hand experience.
