The programme is designed to deepen knowledge and appreciation of Russian culture and thought by focusing on either: Track 1 (degree-level knowledge of Russian essential): 1 of the richest phases of the country's artistic development, the Silver Age (the late 19th and early 20th centuries), or: track 2 (no knowledge of Russian needed): the history of Russian thought from the 2nd half of the 18th to the 1st half of the 20th century.

Location

Bristol is located 170 km from London at the mouth of the river Avon. It is the industrial, educational and cultural center of the Bristol region. It is the eighth most populous city in the United Kingdom, and now has about 430,000 inhabitants.
