These courses can be studied as stand-alone elements or combined in various ways: Architecture graduates seeking professional accreditation and who have already gained RIBA Part 1 exemption can combine the pre-diploma course with either the Architectural Design or Interior Design diploma courses to obtain the Diploma in Architecture with RIBA Part 2 exemption; those not seeking RIBA exemption enter directly into the diploma course of their choice; any one of the diploma courses can be extended by the equivalent of one full-time semester to obtain an Master's; those with RIBA Part 2 exemption can enrol for the professional studies programme which leads to the RIBA Part 3 Professional Practice examination; alternatively, the Master's in Architectural Studies offers an opportunity to explore the discipline of architecture as distinct from the profession and its practice.
