Clinical Exercise Physiology graduates are in high demand in the exercise rehabilitation, health and fitness, and sport science industries; many of the opportunities however are restricted to Exercise Physiologists who are accredited with the Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). This program is designed to permit suitably qualified university graduates to meet the requirements for ESSA accreditation in just one and a half years of intensive study and clinical training. Only ESSA accredited Exercise Physiologists can provide exercise science services covered by Medicare (the national health care scheme), Work Cover and the Department of Veterans' Affairs.
