Applicants should also possess a level 3 qualification in their subject area; applicants will need to achieve a qualification in English/literacy and mathematics /numeracy, equivalent to at least level 2 by the end of the course in order to achieve qualified teacher learning and skills (QTLS), and must also follow a continuing professional development (CPD) programme of at least 30 hours per year.
