The course aims to mine a rich seam of scenarios which in turn provide a fascinating arena for the development of unique and absorbing projects; the course is project-based with staff operating in an advisory and consultancy capacity; formal input is given in design research methodology to enable students to undertake the higher order inquiry which is required at this level; students are expected to ground their designs in commercial and social reality by establishing contact with companies and social agencies and by demonstrating the value of solutions.
