Programme provides an introduction to both astronomy and planetary science and equips students with the basic skills for further study; the course considers the structure, origin and evolution of stars, galaxies and the universe as a whole; modules look at the birth, life and death of stars and the formation and evolution of galaxies; students discuss how the universe began, how it has evolved on all scales, and how it might continue to evolve into the distant future.
