In year 1 students develop their architectural creative process through a series of studio design projects; the emphasis is on developing a way of thinking, working and designing which makes best use of their own particular experiences and skills; during year 2 students further develop their design processes and critical thinking skills; these are tested through various projects using students own design solutions; students gain an increased awareness of architecture within the urban context; by year 3 students can identify what contemporary architecture means to them and establish their theoretical position through a variety of projects leading to 1 major project where initiative is needed to formulate and communicate their architectural designs.
