Данная программа является первой в России академической программой по институциональной экономике, и создает достойную альтернативу продолжения обучения для талантливых студентов экономического факультета, а также других факультетов МГУ и ВУЗов. На экономическом факультете МГУ работают несколько признанных в России исследовательских групп, занимающихся институциональной проблематикой в роли академических исследователей и в роли экспертов. Востребованность используемого ими инструментария и методов исследования, а также актуальность и применимость разработанных рекомендаций подтверждаются их участием в различного рода экспертных советах при органах исполнительной власти, а также крупных компаниях и их объединениях.

The building of the Faculty of Economics is situated on Sparrow Hills, in the southwest of Moscow. It is a forested area about five miles southwest from the city centre, which takes about 10 minutes to reach the metro from the university by foot, and it's a 15-minute metro ride to the city centre.
