Course is for experienced students in ceramics, jewellery or glass whose aim is to set up their own studio and work as self-employed designer-makers; course offers an opportunity to develop and consolidate personal work through practical and theoretical sessions; students will explore ideas, materials and techniques and work towards producing a body of work of high quality; in addition students will gain the skills necessary to start their own business including how to market their own work, plan exhibitions, produce promotional material and gain essential knowledge about working professionally; a group exhibition will take place in a commercial gallery during the summer term.
