This course enables the student to develop creative self-motivation and imaginative thinking, and to challenge received ideas; they practice in painting, sculpture and printmaking; it can be extended to include photographic, video and digitally generated images; each year the student participates in tutorials, group critiques of studio work, media workshops, lectures and seminars; they have the opportunity to participate in self-funded study visits within the United Kingdom and abroad, and to exhibit their work during level 2 as well as in the College’s Summer Shows at the end of level 3.

Location

Falmouth Campus is a ten-minute walk from Falmouth Town station, five minutes by train from Penryn and 20 minutes by train from Truro (every half hour Monday - Friday.) There are eight buses an hour to Penryn at peak times. Buses depart regularly from Falmouth town centre, the train takes five minutes from Falmouth and it’s 15 minutes by train from Truro to Penryn station, which is a 20-minute walk from the campus.
