This course promotes an interdisciplinary approach to psychology and health; it is a joint honours degree which means students spend half their time in each subject; the course involves a wide-ranging exploration of human psychology and of health and social care; the course is broad and dynamic, keeping pace with the rapidly changing UK health and social care arena and it draws upon a range of disciplines in psychology to provide you with an in-depth understanding of aspects of human mind and behaviour; the psychology syllabus offers a comprehensive programme of learning across relevant areas psychology, including developmental, social, and personality psychology, together with the opportunity to achieve a depth of understanding in several more specialised areas; the health studies modules provides students with a contemporary and dynamic context in which to keep pace with the rapidly changing health and social care arena; the modules draw upon a range of disciplines to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the UK health and social care system.
