This course equips students with a balance of design skills that may be applied to a wide spectrum of products; this requires the intelligent co-ordination of many different disciplines from the arts and the sciences according to the dictates of the design task; this course provides the opportunity to develop the creativity; personal qualities and knowledge to design successful products for a wide range of industries and to work effectively in multi-disciplinary design teams; students are provided with the design tools and techniques necessary to achieve their potential; students learn modern methods for aesthetic and engineering design; including computer aided design techniques using the latest design software; plus engineering science; material and manufacturing technologies and design methodologies.
