The course provides students with opportunities to develop the skills; knowledge and experience necessary to work in a range of social and community contexts at local, regional, national and international levels; it focuses individuals on the use of the arts in celebrating, enhancing and improving cultural, commercial and business environments; the course is designed to enable students from a variety of disciplines (e.g. fashion and textiles, fine art, graphic media, 3-dimensional design and craft, music and performing arts, arts administration and management) to extend their practice in relation to the broader social economic and environmental plans; it has strong practical and critical focus, and draws on the substantial cross disciplinary experience of the lecturing team as well as visiting professional artists, designers, performers and administrators.
