Animal science seeks to provide a stimulating and challenging experience for students and is intended for those aspiring to work in animal care, welfare or animal based industry; special consideration is given to scientific understanding of animal welfare; the course provides a vehicle for the development of a set of transferable skills appropriate to a wide range of animal care, welfare and management settings, and for further advanced study; digital culture, arts and media aims to explore this emerging field, offering students opportunities to engage with digital media in creative ways, while also revealing the critical and theoretical shifts that go hand in hand with these new forms of production; with the aim of providing a rich and rounded experience, time is given to both practice and theory, integrating practical and creative concerns with the demands of academic and theoretical work.
