This unit is stage 1 of the revised Post Qualifying Social Work framework and is designed to provide students with a firm foundation and preparation for their chosen specialist practice: children and family, adults or mental health; successful completion of this course leads to 40 level H credits, and if applicable, a graduate certificate; the course is delivered as a partnership between your local employing agency and Bournemouth University’s School of Health and Social Care (HSC); this unit enables students to demonstrate that they have consolidated their initial training from the point of qualification and can apply their competence within an area of specialist practice; it also provides a foundation for further professional development.
