The course enables students to develop skills in workshop planning and management; students are given plenty of opportunities to develop links with community groups; they learn, through observation and talking to people to consider what kind of workshop experiences or performance might be appropriate for a particular community group; and tailor work to meet those needs;alongside training in practical workshop delivery and devising and directing skills; students receive training in professional aspects of community and small company work; such as marketing; budgeting; contracting and fund-raising; throughout the course students have plenty of opportunity to develop communication skills which are transferable to all aspects of professional life.
