Holland is one of the European leaders in the field of higher education, its universities are first among universities in non-English speaking countries have started offering programs in English. To date, the universities in the Netherlands offer more than 2000 programs of bachelor, master and doctoral studies. A relatively small number of universities included in leading rankings, due to the fact that most universities in the Netherlands are applied and do not conduct research.
