1. Faculty of Social Sciences Masters Scholarship

2012/13	Dependant on the fee of the chosen course	For students starting their undergraduate study in 2012, the Faculty of Social Sciences is offering up to five competitive Masters Scholarships to students whose performance is exceptional during their first degree and who choose to remain at the University of Essex in the same department to study for a Masters.

2. Mathematics Final Year Undergraduate Scholarship

4. Squash High Performance Scholarship

Scholarships for masters and second higher education

1. Art History Scholarships

2012/13	50% of Tuition fee	30 June 2012	Our Art History Scholarship is provided to encourage students to realise their full potential and to help with the costs of further study. This scholarship will entitle all eligible students to a 50% contribution towards the tuition fee for one-year MA courses in the School of Philosophy and Art History.

2. Artellus Scholarships

2012/13	Up to £2,000	The Artellus MA/PhD Refugee Care Fund is made possible thanks to a donation from Artellus Ltd (an international literary agency) to the University.

3. Cardiac Rehabilitation Bursary

2012/13	£1,500	12 June 2012	Our Cardiac Rehabilitation Bursary is a competitive bursary paying for training as a qualified phase four cardiac rehabilitation instructor. Remaining funds pay for part of the students course fees.

4. Drake-Lewis Graduate Scholarships for Art History

2012/13	£5,000	24 April 2012	Thanks to a recent legacy, the University is in a position to offer several scholarships from the Dr Eleanor Drake-Lewis Fund of £5,000 each in order to fund new Masters students in Art History.

5. Drake-Lewis Graduate Scholarships for Health & Human Sciences

2012/13	£5,000	Thanks to a recent legacy, the University is in a position to offer several scholarships from the Dr Eleanor Drake-Lewis Fund of £5,000 each in order to fund new Masters students in Health & Human Science, studying either the Masters in Public Health or MRes Health Studies.

6. Environmental Science Scholarships

8. Giulia Mereu Scholarship

This scholarship has been established by the family and friends of Giulia Mereu. The aim of the scholarship is to enable those who might otherwise not have the opportunity to study the discipline of human rights.

11. Peter and Michael Hiller Scholarships

12. Santander Masters Scholarships

Ten scholarships of £5,000 each, funded by Santander Group, are available for taught Masters study at Essex for 2012-13. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit, to students who would not otherwise be able to take up a place at Essex and who reside in Russia.
